One of my best friends got married last weekend in Knoxville. You may remember Austin and Megan from there
engagement session a few months ago. I didn't want to photograph the wedding so I could enjoy the getting my groove on at the reception and just be there as another guest, and I knew the wedding photos would be awesome because my brother was shooting. A few months ago I bought the
Nikon D3s so I decided I put its video capability to use. I've been wanting to film a wedding for a few months so this was the perfect opportunity. There are a lot of similarities and a lot of differences between photographing and filming a wedding. I really enjoyed it. Luckily, I have been fortunate enough to work with some awesome wedding videographers like
Focal Point and
Full Frame Cinema so I had some idea of what I should be doing. I wish I'd had a stabilizer to work with, but I didn't, so most of this was shot hand held. This film was edited using iMovie...unfortunately, it's all I have to work with.
Of course I had to take a few photos...
